Welcome to Strutting Player, Sunderland’s only drama school for children and adults
Strutting Player is headed by Susie Flintham, who brings an extremely high standard in Performing Arts teaching. She trained at Chester, Homerton College Cambridge University, and the Shakespeare Institute, as well as being an Arts Mark partner and a licenced chaperone.
With over 19 years experience of teaching acting, singing, directing, and writing, Strutting Player can offer classes or 1-2-1 to suit your needs, no matter how old you are.
We offer adult acting classes for ages 25 – 99+, as well as classes for children as young as 5. We even go into schools and run workshops around themes or periods of history.
Whether you want a qualification, to improve your stage or screen acting, or learn something new, we can accommodate you.
Most recently, we ran a Community Arts event called “Sunderland Stories”, which brought together all ages and abilities to create a ‘living exhibition’, comprising original writing, performance, art, craft and history.
